Umbraco to Ghost

A few years ago in what now feels like another lifetime, I implemented Umbraco CMS at a luxury Retail / Ecommerce brand in London. After being impressed with Umbraco I decided to purchase .Net hosting and move my then Wordress site to Umbraco.

At the time it seemed a logical thing to do as I wanted to use Umbraco more and I thought it would look good on my portfolio / cv. In reality after work and freelance work my website was always the last thing to get done, and never got further than a holding screen. .Net hosting is expensive if you don't do anything with it, and I decided to stop wasting money and re-platform the site.

I moved to Ghost as a front end web developer I feel more comfortable working in Javascript compared to PHP or Razor. Im going to give it ghost a go and hopefully write more from now on.
